How alloy wheel repair and straightening works
The wheel comes off the car and goes onto a dedicated wheel straightening machine, which measures exactly where the rim is out of shape and applies controlled force to bring it back to its correct shape. Cracks are welded by hand where the wheel is safe to save, then the wheel is re-checked for roundness and, where needed, sealed so it holds air again.
Safety first — honest advice
Not every wheel is safe to repair. Splits on a load-bearing spoke, badly corroded rims or heavily distorted wheels can be unsafe to run once repaired — and we'll tell you straight if that's the case rather than take your money on a wheel that shouldn't go back on the road.
